Do I feel Lucky? Sure!

After a horrific Trading week two weeks ago, I took a week off and today I did my first trade - I closed the market ahead - not by much but a win in any "turnaround" - a win is a win!

The Postman came to my door (this never happened in my life before) and handed me a Note.

He said, it's from the lady down the street with two Pugs - she wants you to call her - here is her note.  Her Name is Rose.  Is this a Win, or what?

I haven't called Rose, yet - as I am starting a relationship with another woman - a nice woman - and I think she is a Win!

How am I doin' so far today?  Yes that's what I think to. So I drove over to the Quick Stop and laid $40 big "ones" on the counter - he said..."40 numbers, are you sure" Yes, I said, I feel Lucky today!

I have never won anything more than a few dollars in my life. I have put myself out to "Score" many times and it has always been a "rough Road!"

If I take my life - as a whole - Yes I am a big winner - so, this is just folly, after all if you don't "have a horse in the race" you can't win - as for women... some were meant to be "A Prize" whatchagonnado?

The Supreme Court has an opportunity

Antonin Scalia related that the 2700+ pages is not his preference in reading and suggested he'd rather throw this back to a dysfunctional congress.  In the last big vote he supported the "Big Political Action Contributions groups unlimited $$$$) why because he is politically conservative along with the other 5 to 4 vote.

Clarence Thomas - is a never should have been.  He is a conservative at all costs and rarely speaks... He has never visited a liberal cause at any level.

And the rest vote (usually) according to party lines.

The Supreme Court was part of a triangle of our Freedom - keeping the legislative and presidential parts in Check.  They have followed party lines from which they came.  They are Dangerous, irrelevant to the balance of our freedom and a disaster to the foundation of our country.

George W. set our country back 20 years.  The religious right invaded separation of Church and State to their victory and have wounded the foundation of the country.

The population of the United States has become lax in their responsibilities, we suffer from poor education, ignorance and the "herding effect" of why not just follow those who tell us what we like to hear.

The Sweet Smell of Carcinogens

Laundry detergent, dryer sheets, perfumes, shampoos, air fresheners, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, and “odor neutralizing” sprays–all come in a variety of chemically created scents, and many of the chemicals are classified as toxic.

"unscented" or "Scent Free" are not really what they say, if the ingredients tell of a "scent neutralizing" compound (another chemical) covering up the original scent chemical...

If you believe "Global Warming" is a liberal farce - well then I'm sure you just think this is just another BS statement to scare people....

How to Disappear Completely And Never Be Found

Subscribe to James Altucher - you can receive one of the best internet writer's daily scribes - free. http://www.jamesaltucher.com/

Here is today's: http://www.jamesaltucher.com/2012/03/how-to-disappear-completely-and-never-be-found/

Here is from last week: http://www.jamesaltucher.com/2012/02/how-to-break-free-from-being-stuck/

Is he brilliant? you decide.....

In a way, I disappeared temporarily and often, in the last 15 years - being on the road - arriving in a new location -frequently - coming in clean (socially) without a past - except the state of my license plates.  Quite refreshing...

Of course, every revelation, leads you back to your "head" and all your baggage - the benefit - and understanding... (slowly) in minimizing that which was negative from the past... similar in many ways to the evolution of an "Acid Trip" full circle with new experiences.

What's Next?

Today is yet another milestone in my life.  I started thinking it was Wednesday - up until 3:30 this afternoon.  In the past week, I have visited one of the prominent Demons in my life - (this about trading, not women!) During the last week, I have reviewed (and relived a) mistake(s) I have made - the insecurities that surface - the feelings...and all of it!
Yes, It is only Tuesday - and I have been relieved by the addition of one unexpected day in my life. The scars of the week...remain.  The extra day has become "priceless" ... talk about values in life!

The relief - the cost of suffering mentally - released... and losing sight of time and space -

I don't need a priest!  This website is my best confessional - so...

"Why I left Google"

Google didn't recognize Facebook has Magic
- an interesting piece from a former employee on the negative impact that Google+ has had on the company (in his opinion, of course). My favorite quote:

"As it turned out, sharing was not broken. Sharing was working fine and dandy, Google just wasn’t part of it. People were sharing all around us and seemed quite happy. A user exodus from Facebook never materialized. I couldn’t even get my own teenage daughter to look at Google+ twice, “social isn’t a product,” she told me after I gave her a demo, “social is people and the people are on Facebook.” Google was the rich kid who, after having discovered he wasn’t invited to the party, built his own party in retaliation. The fact that no one came to Google’s party became the elephant in the room."
Here is an article about the post, and the actual post itself.

In a Perfect World - Ron Paul is the only choice... This is not a perfect world... beginning with the mean (sic.) intelligence of the population

I Have No Choice but to Own Stocks: 'Black Swan' Author

The U.S. economic situation is so bad, the author of "The Black Swan" said he has "no choice but to own stocks" to "preserve my financial situation."

"I own stocks," Nassim Taleb told CNBC Tuesday. "I don’t trust Treasury bonds. I’d rather have a dividend than a coupon. I am afraid of hyperinflation. So I have no choice but to own stock and some real estate to preserve my financial situation."

He also has "some euros," because despite the bad press, "they know the problems in Europe" but the U.S. does not.

Taleb, who is in the process of updating his 2007 book, considers a "black swan" event to be something undirected and unpredicted. But he said the current U.S. economic problems have been years in the making, causing him to distrust the Obama administration, the Republicans in Congress and all the Republican presidential challengers — except Texas congressman Ron Paul.

"Only one candidate, Ron Paul, is saying the right things for the issues we are facing," Taleb said. "I’m a risk-based person. From my vantage point there's only one candidate representing the right policies."

Taleb said he believes in an America that is resilient. "You don't achieve that through bailouts," he said. "You need the economy to stay vital. You need a rate of failure. What is fragile should break early."

He said Paul's plans, including making drastic cuts in government, ending corporate bailouts and abolishing the Federal Reserve can "cure the fundamental issues. He’s against the issue of novocaine. If you have a severe problem, you do root canal. That’s the only choice you have. You have to start with a government budget that is in control. You don’t gamble with future generations' money."

Can America live with austerity? "We are doing it to the Greeks," he said. "We should do it to ourselves. We want jobs, we want a healthy economy. I want to live in a country that has the energy to rebuild things. This is gone. We have a metastatic government...You need to do something drastic."

The whole system "is rotten," he added. "The advisers around [President] Obama who were part of the problem were friends with the bankers. I don’t trust the Republicans with deficits. Look at what we had under the Republican administrations including George [W.] Bush. I want the main problems to be addressed and I want a major cleanup.

"I don’t care about [Ron Paul's] chances. I support him. We have no other solutions. It is my duty as a citizen and as a taxpayer who doesn’t want to be hoodwinked in the long term by bureaucrats."

CNBC 3/13/12

The "Big Poussee's" opinion:
What Ron Paul, portends - The Economy's Engine (muscle) will create Havoc amongst the drug addicted (debt ridden, over-spending, financially ill-managed, intellectually challenged) population (avg. intl. 6th grade education.)  And "What If?" -The real "solution" is the "dissolution" of our current economic balancing act - a disaster this society cannot withstand!

- Obama is my best choice in a "not very perfect world" - he's the smartest man in the "room!" Intelligence trumps everything but luck! - something that cannot be attained - Luck requires Optimism!

Driver's license "Check off" Organ Donor - your heirs are given a large financial setback vs. their holding the rights and negotiating

"The last time I renewed my driver's license, the clerk at the DMV asked if she should check me off as an organ donor. I said no. She looked at me and asked again. I said, "No"..
.
"But what are you giving up when you check the donor box on your license? Your organs, of course—but much more. You're also giving up your right to informed consent. Doctors don't have to tell you or your relatives what they will do to your body during an organ harvest operation because you'll be dead, with no legal rights."

... In 1981, the Uniform Determination of Death Act made brain death a legal form of death in all 50 states."...The exam for brain death is simple. A doctor splashes ice water in your ears (to look for shivering in the eyes), pokes your eyes with a cotton swab and checks for any gag reflex, among other rudimentary tests. It takes less time than a standard eye exam. Finally, in what's called the apnea test, the ventilator is disconnected to see if you can breathe unassisted. If not, you are brain dead. (Some or all of the above tests are repeated hours later for confirmation.)
...If you fail the apnea test, your respirator is reconnected. You will begin to breathe again, your heart pumping blood, keeping the organs fresh. Doctors like to say that, at this point, the "person" has departed the body. You will now be called a BHC, or beating-heart cadaver... Your vital organs will function, you'll maintain your body temperature, and your wounds will continue to heal. You can still get bedsores, have heart attacks and get fever from infections....(The purpose here... To Keep your organs fresh and ready to harvest)...You might also be emitting brainwavesEven some of the sharpest critics of the brain-death criteria argue that there is no possibility that donors will be in pain during the harvesting of their organs.
But BHCs—who don't receive anesthetics during an organ harvest operation—react to the scalpel like inadequately anesthetized live patients, exhibiting high blood pressure and sometimes soaring heart rates. Doctors say these are simply reflexes.

The Money Factor
Average recipients are charged $750,000 for a transplant, and at an average 3.3 organs, that is more than $2 million per body. Neither donors nor their families can be paid for organs.

It is possible that not being a donor on your license can give you more bargaining power. If you leave instructions with your next of kin, they can perhaps negotiate a better deal. Instead of just the usual icewater-in-the-ears, why not ask for a blood-flow study to make sure your cortex is truly out of commission? AND how the body (beating heart cadaver) is treated during the harvesting operations.  (using Anesthetics, as if the body were alive - to avoid reaction to the Scalpel.)

All Bargaining should be supported by a formal contract...quick and easy to prepare.

"Someone once asked me "why do you always insist on taking the hard road?" and I replied "Why do you assume I see two roads?"

Thanks Jocelyn...
hit La Grande Poussee, above and enter the site postings.  as you see in the title description, your quote is a well said diversion of one of my favorite quotes - and yes, I don't remember there was ever a choice of two roads... oh yes I do, after all, the other road (and paved)  seemed untenable. I lived on the road for 15 years, with my horse and dog... then I found Boise - an oasis in the high desert.
