My brain is in a "contra" format, as I write. The Moon is "new" meaning acceleration of direction... remember a "Full Moon" represents change of direction. The Moon over the past few months has been very accurate, even though it has a 75% accuracy record...So, you flip a coin and it comes up "heads" five times.. what are the odds of the next flip being "heads" ... yes still 50/50. No one is perfect...no anything is perfect! So, cutting the bullshit, I'm not trading because I believe the current direction will be accelerating - new highs and all I'll be watching, then...the MACD of T2108 for next direction - that's fair.

Let's put the country on a Monopoly Board - Punish Greed, Punish the dishonest - Punish Political Moves by backroom tactics. Punish all those fuckers. Pass Go, and Collect $2 Million for all those who contribute to the National Good without compensation. Reward Teachers for performance Remove Teachers who teach "Backward Thinking" Hire new Teachers and allow them to receive "Sign Up" Bonuses - as Loans for the first 5 years - and Performance will allow the loan to be forgiven - that's the Bonus. Fire all Managers who Hide Quality Employees to keep them inline.

Witch Hunt Wall Street Aggressively and publish accounts of their less than acceptable dealings. Limit all politically elected individuals to two terms, not to exceed a total of 8 years. Put a transfer tax on all Lobbying spending of 25%. If an organization is determined to be lobbying with $$ (lets say $4 Million) they would file an excise tax return and pay the Treasury $1Million - "Pay To Play!"

Annually tax Investments and Trusts that have a Balance Sheet in excess of $100Million. Let's say 1% @ yr. 5% @ yr. if assets transferred overseas to hide.

Finally, declare War on Switzerland - to open bank account names and values - or we land troops on their front doors and blow them off! If the account holders can not validate honest holdings - confiscate the money and return it to country of Origin/Citizenship

Let's set dishonestly earned assets back to their origin and recreate a level playing field.

I've got more ideas, but it's early and I've got to be moving on.

Rule #1: There is no amount of good work that can’t be undone by one bad decision.

You’ve had a good day trading? A good week? A good quarter? Maybe even a good year trading….doesn’t matter, one bad decision and you can give it all back.

Rule #2: There is an inverse relationship between the amount of time and work needed in order to create and the amount needed to destroy.

Do you spend hours and hours each day looking at charts, talking with traders, running scans, reading all the SEC documents you can get your hands on just to get an edge in your trading? One split second “gut” trade and it is all for naught.

Rule #3: Sometimes your worst decision will be your last decision.

If you make a decision that is bad enough in trading such as ignoring your stops, adding to a losing trade, or over-leveraging your account,........... it won’t matter what your real intent is, the outcome will be a “suicide trade.”

This last rule of course is the most critical one. Over the years (in trading) I have violated Rules #1 and #2 on numerous occasions. I have experienced seeing my hard work/profits go away in one stupid, almost instantaneous decision, and then swear that I will never do it again, but I have never violated Rule #3.I know it is out there though, waiting for me............." it requires Focus and Determination to kill the beast before it kills me.

Money follows a chain of who has it to who doesn't. At another level this chain has to follow rules and regulations set by the government, the industries which lead to the consumer - mostly in this case - there were two final consumers - 1. The financially unworthy homeowner. 2. The final resting place of the debt supporting these homeowners (it was handled like a very hot potato) repackaged into securities that were purchased and sold to unsuspecting investors. Along the way there were profit centers from Real Estate Developers, Real Estate Brokers, Finance accomidators, Wall Street accomidators and then security packagers - each profit center sucked out their fees... Who got Fucked? #1 The US Economy, #2 The displaced homeowners #3 The final investors in packaged mortgages. The US Legislators were the "Big Pimps" by loosening up regulations or even eliminating other regulations to speed up the "fucking!" There was enough money sucked out to pay big corporate salaries, big legislators' pockets, and large fees to Teenage Brokers and salespeople.

Evolution doesn't recognize good from bad - it generally does recognize strength over weakness - we evolved as a people from one cell living organisms by a succession of gains and losses, successes and failures - and here we are - dealing with a "Tea Party" who thinks they have the answer to the next step in evolution. Will it be good? Will it be bad? will it be a success or a Failure? Evolution doesn't care! At almost 70 years old, I don't care either... I am certainly a spectator at best... But what about what's best for my children and grand children - they will survive better than most - and that is the best I can wish for them.... Happy Holidays!

Three Ways to Fix Europe Without Europe’s Help

How can we, here in the US, lower volatility to break this negative feedback loop that is choking Europe? I propose three solutions that have absolutely nothing to do with the EU:

1. Bring back the uptick rule – I'm sorry, but I don't care how many studies you show me "proving" that the uptick rule was ineffective. Removing it was an enormous mistake. We know from behavioral finance that people feel the loss of a dollar about twice as much as they feel the gain of a dollar. The uptick rule slows down the rate at which that pains expresses itself and can reduce as a result the emotional response to losses. This would lower volatility and financial stress.

2. Tax high-frequency trading – we have a long-term capital gains tax and a short-term capital gains tax. Why can't we also have an ultra-short capital gains tax? All of this nanosecond trading, which does not add anything to the normal functioning of markets, increases price swings. Taxing nanosecond trades would make them less profitable, which in turn would bring the market back to retail investors. This would lower volatility and financial stress.

3. The Fed should explicitly state an inflation target – this has been debated for some time internally within the Fed, and it is beyond my understanding why this has not been done already. The best way to counter deflation fears is to tell the market that there is an explicit inflation target the Fed will reach at any and all costs. Increased inflation expectations are bullish for risk assets and would increase the velocity of money. This would lower volatility and financial stress.

There must be somewhere between 25 to 40 posts (on this blog) about the Full Moon effect on "what's going around" THE FULL MOON REPRESENTS CHANGE!
On Friday in the after-market I began a position in SDS which is really a derrivative of twice the %age movement of S and P 500 - It gains on going down. This am in the pre-market I filled up my position to just a little over my comfort level...
At close to 3pm I closed my position for $.94+ on many many shares. I felt a turn about to take place - so I put the proceeds in the "Fast Runner" BHP as if the market corrects late in the day - BHP will outpace the S and P better than 2 for 1.... This is what I call a "Pairing" under the duress of the Full Moon - As the "Wallstreeters" try to keep up appearances of a Santa Claus rally - so we'll loosen the reins and let this horse run.....and buck!

We all know that IBM sold it's personal computer business to Lenovo several years ago. Lenovo has always built the IBM computers, now designs their own computers under many "Think Names"

What only a million or so people know (IBM has 425,000 employees alone) That IBM has retained control of the design and workability of the Famous
"Thinkpad!"

Go ahead, call Lenovo and ask for tech support - and when you get through the numbers you'll see that when tech is required for the "thinkpad"
you are redirected to IBM Technicians. Afterall, IBM wants to control the 425,000 "Thinkpad" computers that their employees have - got it?

I have recently purchased a Lenovo (IBM) "Thinkpad" X220t a laptop that converts to a tablet with full touch screen as well as a "computer pen" that does many functions. They sell a special screen (not touch) designed for the Military (with special specs - most of which are on my "Thinkpad"

I have never set up a computer so quickly - with almost 200 detailed pages of instructions - details I have never seen on a computer over the past 35 years and 40 computers I have purchased.

Lenovo prices this computer, as purchased, with SSD Drive + Intel's fastest chips, etc. for $3,000 - I have followed their deals for the past few months - first discounted to 2,000 than to 1,851 and then for 4 days less than $1,500 where I hit the purchase button... I am very proud and happy to have the ultimate IBM laptop/Pad -

Without changing the power options - my first battery drain was just over 5 hours -

Why not an Apple MacBook Air - I am not Mac oriented, I have several programs that work only on Windows - yes I know the Mac's have a partitioned drive with Windows included - to operate windows programs.

An iPad is not computer enough for me and my applications and for all practical purposes is a Magnificently Designed Display component with "netbook" qualities... a social toy if you will. - My opinion (defects and all) of course.

Smoking can make your nipples fall off

I cringe every time I see a patient for a breast lift who is a smoker. I’m deathly afraid that despite my warnings, she will smoke before or after surgery and cause her nipples to turn black and fall off.

Yes. Smokers who undergo breast lifts are at great risk of losing their nipples.

I’ve seen it before.

The nicotine in cigarettes and the carbon monoxide contained in cigarette smoke can diminish blood flow to various parts of the body. These toxins act as a virtual tourniquet. If the blood flow to a particular body part becomes greatly reduced or halted, that body part dies.

In my memoir “In Stitches,” I told the story of a smoker whose nipples turned purple while undergoing a breast lift surgery. Purple is the precursor to black. Black is the precursor to falling off. To save the patient—and her nipples - we turned to the only treatment available.

We used leeches.

Because of the mechanics of blood flow, when the blood supply is inadequate, which occurs with smoking, the tiniest veins often fail. This insufficiency results in a backup of old (venous) blood in the body part, causing it to turn purple. If the backup of old blood is serious enough, the purple color may eventually turn black. That’s when we know the body part - toe, finger, or nipple - is dead.

We use leeches to literally suck out the excess venous blood from the body part, acting as an attachable vein. The leech drains the old blood, causing it to turn from unhealthy purple back to healthy pink. We place leeches intermittently until the body part grows new blood vessels to do the leeches’ work. This can take several days.

Not long ago, during a consultation for a breast lift, a patient, Susan, admitted to being a pack-a-day smoker. I informed her that smoking can cause difficulty in healing and instructed her to quit smoking at least one month before surgery and to stay off cigarettes for at least a month afterward. Several months later, when she arrived at the hospital for her breast lift, she smelled like an ashtray.

“Susan, I thought you quit smoking.”

“I did. OK. For a while. It’s really hard to quit, Dr. Youn.”

“I know,” I said. “But this is a big deal. There could be major healing problems if you smoke before or after surgery.”

“I understand. But I want to go ahead with the surgery anyway. It’ll be fine.”

She wasn’t hearing me. I needed to get through to her. “Susan, listen to me. If I operate on you, your nipples could turn black and fall off.”

Her eyes widened. “You mean… I’d have no nipples?”

“No nipples. That’s what smoking can do.”

Susan flushed. She raised her voice. “Dr. Youn, I took a week off work for this surgery. I had to put my whole life on hold for an entire week. If you told me I’d lose my nipples from smoking, I would’ve quit for good. This is your fault.”

Yes. Seriously. Susan blamed me for the inconvenience.

Thanks to her, I’ve changed my policy. In addition to the Surgeon General’s Warning that appears on cigarette packages, I now offer the Plastic Surgeon’s Warning to all my patients who smoke: If you are having a breast lift or reduction and you smoke, your nipples could turn black and fall off. If you are having a tummy tuck and you smoke, you may get an infection resulting in a big gross open wound that will take three months to heal. If you are having a facelift and you smoke, the skin of your cheek could turn black and slough off, leaving exposed fat.

Imagine yourself looking like “Two-Face” from “Batman: The Dark Knight.”

And do you really want me to reach for the jar of leeches?

Smokers, you have been warned.

Can you imagine, losing your nipples, your sensativity, and probably your main intimate partner - all for what?

Do you like the way your breasts feel when they are touched by your partner - and his knowledge of your nipple arousal... better ask him if you should screw around with your bio-electrical system of course many women's breasts and nipples are not directly connected to the "spark" (the "turbo-connection") in that case - tell the plastic surgeon to "cut away"

It's a holiday season - out of control - as they all are - consumerism in its ugliest form. Politics make it even uglier... it's a sick world... and yes, I'm a happy guy. The Human Condition of our population is at best - Leary, weary and dreary. It seams that our society has run out of Oxygen. "goodness" is gone. fairness is gone. Tomorrow, I'll open my best bottle of wine, smoke some weed, and make it a "Bob Dylan day" probably 4 to 8 hours of non-stop bob dylan songs... - and then I'll move on.

Twenty-four-hundred isn't a number we modern humans should have any trouble grasping? Park yourself outside a Walmart for a couple of hours, and I wouldn't be surprised if you see 2,400 people, or more, go through the door on their way to the shelves of Chinese electronics and cheap clothing.

Or take the intersection of Eagle Road and Fairview Avenue. At certain times of the day, there must be 2,400 people going through that light every 10 minutes. And if your teenager goes to school in one of the area's bigger high schools, he or she could have 2,400 schoolmates, easy.

So, no, 2,400 isn't a figure too hard to wrap our noggins around. One hundred cases of beer--that's less than two years' worth of libation for some of us. If you live in, say, Caldwell or Emmett or Mountain Home and commute to Boise, 2,400 miles is a mere 40 days of coming and going. A 2,400-square-foot house? Probably about average anymore. And if the weather cooperates, 2,400 acres of wildlife habitat can burn to the ground by lunchtime every day.

I bring up the number 2,400 at this time because just recently, since last week, I learned that in the world--the whole world, from the Arctic to the Antarctic, from the International Date Line all the way around to the line again--there are approximately 2,400 Bengal tigers left. And by "left," I mean left alive.

I wouldn't have learned this particular bit of (what I'm sure many of you will consider) trivia were it not for the incident two weeks ago in Zanesville, Ohio, where 18 Bengal tigers, along with 31 other distinct entities, were shot to death by policemen when a verminous crapball of a human being released his menagerie of exotic creatures from their cages, knowing it would almost certainly mean the end of them.

So this week, when it comes to Bengal tigers, the new number is 2,382 (or so) after subtracting the 18 that belonged to the aforementioned verminous crapball, who for some unimaginable reason was allowed to buy and own Bengal tigers in the first place.

Coincidentally, within days of the Zanesville massacre, according to population watchers at the United Nations, the head count of human beings on Earth reached 7 billion. Here, let me write that out for you: 7,000,000,000. It looks more impressive that way, I think. The word "billion" has gotten to be a bit overused and cheap, if you ask me. But those nine zeroes all lined up in a row, now that gets your attention, doesn't it?

What I'm going to say next I have no doubt will upset, probably infuriate, many a reader. So I might as well just spit it out.

Those tigers should not have been shot to death. There was more intrinsic value to them living than there is in the life of any human (or humans) that may (or may not) have been killed by them. Like it or not, numbers speak their own kind of truth, and before last week, there were almost 2.92 million human beings on the planet for every Bengal tiger. (With the loss of the Zanesville 18, it is now probably closer to 3 million humans per tiger. Think of the entire population of Idaho, multiplied by two, stacked against one Bengal tiger.)

To make matters worse, their respective numbers are going in opposite directions. The number of humans is going up. Up, up and always up. The Earth is expected to hit 8 billion humans by 2025. The number of tigers--as a matter of fact, all wildlife--is going down. Down and down and ever down. It's not inconceivable that by the year 2025, there won't be a tiger left in the wild, if indeed there is any "wild" left. That makes, on this writer's ledger, a tiger's life more valuable than a human's life.

Do I really believe what I just said? Could I be that heartless? Could I let your child, even my child, be mauled and slashed rather than destroy whatever beast is doing the mauling and slashing--even if the mauling and slashing had not actually occurred but was a worst-case scenario that authorities were trying to avoid?

The question is not only for citizens of Zanesville. We here in Idaho have had a year of dreaded animal attacks, one or two of which were actualattacks rather than the kind that worried officials feared might have happened if the pumas or bears had been allowed to live long enough to actually attack anyone.

And of course, the entire issue is predicated on the notion that the life of a human being is in some way more precious than the life of a puma, grizzly or Bengal tiger. I'm having a harder time every day trying to understand why that is--why a human might be more valuable in the cosmos than a wolf or a bird--or an earwig, for that matter. People will argue that it's because we have a soul while wolves and birds don't, but is there really so much evidence that humans have some inner spirit that animals lack--other than a more acute awareness of our mortality and the self-aggrandizement that awareness brings? Is this what our "soul" might boil down to ... kill it before it kills me.

That can't be. Just because we don't want to die doesn't make us unique. If indeed there is such a thing as a uniquely human quality--a soul--that entitles us to any special consideration, it is to be measured most obviously in how deeply we value those with whom we share the planet and the degree of effort we put into keeping those living treasures alive. Without that value, without that effort, we are no more than animals, and the fewer of us, the better.

Most Important activity for Boise this weekend - Boise State vs. Colorado State - Football - 4pm, Saturday, in Colorado.

Boise - City Parks Department has begun developing it's largest Park Complex (entrance out my front door On Stewart Avenue) and 5 lane road (one lane being middle - landscaped) From State Street to the I-184 extension...)
The Greenbelt has been closed between the beginning of Quinn's Pond to Veterans Park. The Boise River will be rerouted through the eastern part of Quinn's pond and back to its main run on the western end of Quinn's Pond. Leaving a dry section to be developed into hydraulics which, when finished, will create a Whitewater Run able to be manipulated from class l thru Class V wave/turbulent system. Idaho River Sports (the store and rental of water sports equipment) will be inside the park with a future Restaurant planned. There will be sports and recreation fields and a beach built on Quinn's Pond.
Everyone in the neighborhood is very excited - Yesterday was the beginning of lots of Heavy Equipment moving and cleaning up the vacant land awaiting this project. This will go on for 3 months (phase 1) 6 days a week - 10 hour days.
The entire area south of the North end, East of Veterans Park, west of Ann Morrison Park bordering the Boise River to its south, is yet to be named. The Park will have a shared name - Esther Simplot Park and Ray Neff, M.D. River Recreation Park. Rezoning is being planned for the development of the entire neighborhood - including the 27th Street being down sized from 4 lanes to 2 lanes plus a center lanscape/turn lane.

Well Smack Dab in the middle of the Weekend - Noon-thirty - Boise and Nevada begin a "rivalry" game - as Nevada tarnished Boise Last Year from reaching the top.

Since a Majority of the town will be shopping for Bud and Bags of Chips - filling their Gas grills to roast weenies and hamburger - not much will be going on between Friday Night and the beginning of their "Tailgate Parties"
happening in driveways and parking lots throughout Boise and the Surrounding towns. Added to the "healthy mix" of food and Drink has been lots of Tequila lately - and they wonder why they think they need 3D glasses to watch the blurred screens. They'll be busy "Belching, farting, and lovin'-up their neighbors" as we trounce Nevada (hopefully) - Oh yes,
Sunday is recovery and reset for those employed.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — Police in Alabama are getting ready to enforce what is considered by many as the toughest immigration law in the United States.

Beginning Thursday, authorities can question people suspected of being in the country illegally and hold them without bond, and officials can check the immigration status of students in public schools, Gov. Robert Bentley said.

Those two key aspects of Alabama's new law were upheld by a federal judge (remember the Federal Judge is also a "good ol' boy" - the federal judge in a federal court in Alabama and probably a resident "of the south." on Wednesday.

The governor said parts of the law take effect immediately.

"Today Judge Blackburn upheld the majority of our law," Gov. Robert Bentley said in a brief statement he delivered outside the State Capitol in Montgomery, The New York Times reported. "With those parts that were upheld, we have the strongest immigration law in the country."

However, he also said that the law "was never designed to hurt fellow human beings," according to theMontgomery Advertiser. "As a physician, I would never ask a sick person if she was legal or illegal. But as governor of this state, it is my sworn duty to uphold this state's laws, and that is what I intend to do," Bentley said.

Left standing were several key elements that help make the Alabama law stricter than similar laws passed in Arizona, Utah, Indiana and Georgia. Other federal judges have blocked all or parts of those.

It's time for normal people to stop traveling to the South, for American Companies to stop expanding and employing in the South and possibly (since those folks are "Creationists") time for god to withdraw oxygen in the South! (incuding Arizona, Utah (LDS Country) Indiana (uber-white folks) and Gerogia(?)

In trading, missing the trade gracefully is as much a part of the craft as executing.

Wouldn't it be nice when a child is born their
DNA is sent to Harvard - for acceptance
or some other school of your choice - If
accepted the school would send you a schedule
of what schools (K -12) your child should go to
then immediately send you an annual bill to cover
all of the expenses through Post Graduate
education - It would be accumulated with interest
accruing to the balance - and allow everyone some
comfort - including the schools. There would be
summer camps also included to review your child's
growth with adjustments going forward. Refunds
plus accrued interest would be granted for cause.
(ie. Death of child - serious change of conditions
determined by parents - any change toward the
child's development would have to be
accommodated by the school - special needs, etc.
- parents could be released easier than the school -
creating a sort of insurance policy for the parents )

Boise This Weekend

The Circus has arrived in Boise - "The Greatest Show On Earth - for the weekend. The temperature is still in the low 90's during the day. Humidity is low, no rain for quite awhile, however rivers are above season level. Saturday at 6pm Boise State University' s first home game - town will be empty. Sunday - Boise's first annual Hemp festival - should be interesting. Labeled "The H.O.P.E Festival (Hemp offers people everything) and there will be Vendors At Julia Davis Park - Jack and I will be going (we will be clean of "Arrest-ables") What do you suppose the vendors will be selling. Finally, Saturday is projected to have a high of 95 Degrees.

So...does talking with hands mean something?
