More than 9 significant wildfires are burning throughout the state of Idaho in what could be the most dangerous and busy fire season in more than a decade.

Friday fire update: Heat and wind
Halstead Fire
Trinity Ridge Fire
Enclosure Fire
Springs Fire
Mustang Complex fires
Minidoka Complex Fire

These fires are mostly in Mountain areas, and near famous river systems, Salmon River, Payette River, Salmon Chalis  National Forest, Wilderness of Salmon, Idaho. This is "fire season" in Idaho only difference - most in the past 10 years, drought conditions, Winds - and neighboring states having their own big fires - means that fire fighters are in high demand and short supply

Boise has been clear of smoke for the past 2 days - result of NW winds - This weekend has been forecast for smoke once again lingering in Boise. 

 ..AN AIR QUALITY ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED BY THE IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY... 

DUE TO HALSTEAD...MUSTANG AND TRINITY RIDGE FIRES...THE AIR QUALITY REMAINS UNHEALTHY IN CUSTER AND BLAINE COUNTIES OF IDAHO INCLUDING THE CITIES OF SUN VALLEY....STANLEY AND CHALLIS. THIS ADVISORY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL AIR QUALITY HAS SIGNIFICANTLY MPROVED. 

THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE SENSITIVE TO INCREASED PARTICULATE ORSMOKE LEVELS ARE ENCOURAGED TO AVOID PROLONGED OR STRENUOUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITY. ALL OTHERS SHOULD LIMIT PROLONGED OR STRENUOUS OUTDOOR font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif;" />
